For most US categories eBay takes more per sale (13.6% + $0.40 on the total including tax) than Etsy without Offsite Ads (about 9.5% + $0.45). With a 15% Offsite Ads fee, Etsy usually costs more.
What about the UK?
UK private sellers pay nothing on domestic eBay sales, which beats Etsy. Business sellers pay category FVF + per-order + 0.35% + VAT.
